La Geria: the vineyards and it's environment

The hike starts by the central crest from where we will have one of the best panoramic views of the South and Center of Lanzarote: The old Ajaches Mountains, the vineyards of La Geria, the volcanoes of the Timanfaya National Park and the south-east coast scattered with white houses seem just a stonethrow away. After enjoying the view we go down hill to visit the vines cultivated on volcanic ash and protected from the wind with basalt rock walls – a unique landscape, full of contrasts. At the end of the walk we invite you to taste a couple of wines in a typical “Bodega”.
